ZADOV and KUBOVA HUŤ , are towns which cater for skiing and are suitable for all skiers. Both towns are located only 25km from our apartments and Kubova Hut, has the advantage that it can be reached by train from Volyně.
KRAMOLÍN , is a well equiped ski resort and is situated close to the damn Lipno. Kramolin is 80 km away from our apartment and is more suited to a day trips.
Hochficht or Smrčina (in Czech), is another ski resort, where you can find the best alpine skiing in the Bohemian Forest. The resort lies in Austria, 80 km away from our apartment and is more suited to day trips and can by reached via the Strážný border. MITTERDORF is another resort on the border with the Czech Republic – in Germany, just across the border from Strážný, about 55km from Volyně. This resort offers reasonable skiing for reasonable prices and is suitable for families with children.
For those in search of swimming, sauna and water sports, STRAKONICE , HORAŽĎOVICE and PRACHATICE offer swimming facilities to cater to your needs.
